WordPress Maintenance Services
Just like your car, your WordPress site needs to be maintained. It needs to be cared for, kept up to date, and occasionally polished with a nice coat of Turtle Wax.
OK, maybe no turtle wax. But the truth is that what makes WordPress great is how it grows and changes, and because the development community is so massive and worldwide, the development cycle on new releases is fast. This means both your WordPress software and all the plugins you have can get out of date quickly.
That’s why the mad scientists here at Mad Lab are offering a new service: Care and Feeding of Your WordPress Site. Periodically, we’ll jump in and do a little housekeeping for you: upgrade WordPress if a new version is available, upgrade and test all your plugins, and run a few simple tests to make sure everything is working the way it should.
Care and Feeding Packages are available on the following plans:
Monthly ($39.00/month)
Quarterly ($69.00/quarter)
Annual ($149.00/year)
On each of the above plans, we will start by backing up your entire WordPress installation – all the core files, the database, as well as theme and plugin files. This backup will be stored on-site until your next service. Then we will upgrade WordPress to the current version (if applicable), and upgrade all your plugins to their current versions. We’ll finish by running a few tests to make sure the plugins are still functional and everything is in order.
Additional Services
Sometimes the basic service isn’t enough. At any time, you can add the following a la carte services to your order.
Plugin Installation: $15.00
Theme Installation: $15.00
Customization/Configuration of Themes/Plugins: $75.00/hour
WordPress Training/Support
- by phone or online: $15.00 per 15 minute block
- in person: call for rates
DVD Copy of Site Backup: $35.00/copy, sent by USPS Priority Mail (add $15.00 for overnight service)
