Paul Egges
Lead Developer
Paul is the lead developer at Mad Lab and brings decades of experience in software development to the table. He specializes in Django, JQuery, Pinax and Satchmo-based websites. He handles most of our system administration, including the set up and administration of our Trac, Git, and Mercurial support.
Paul has also been the sole proprietor of an online fly fishing business, Hooked On Flies, LLC, since 2002. Seven years prior to that he conceived and implemented a intrastate long-distance telephone company in Colorado called Denver Direct Dial. He designed the software and hardware systems for processing these intralata long-distance calls, based on Dialogic cards and also developed the IVR system for customer service (Dialogic hardware) and billing/customer service system (Delphi with a Paradox database).
Paul holds a BS in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University and worked in that capacity for the military and consumer industries after his graduation. He spent many years in Asia for Cadnetix, as a senior international application engineer, leading initial efforts to market products there. His outside interests of tennis and fly fishing are notably non-geeky.
